Stationary diamond wire

Stationary diamond wire

The stationary wire is mainly used for squaring blocks or cutting thicknesses. In fact, it is mainly used for precise cuts in controlled environments such as factories or stone processing workshops. It has a long life because we can adjust the composition of the diamond beads to suit the material being cut.

PROCESSABLE MATERIALS

Features

The stationary diamond wire consists of three main components:

  • Supporting steel cable: made up of 7 secondary cables with different diameters depending on the type.
  • Electroplated, marble or sintered marble and granite diamond beads.
  • Rubber or plastic assembly to protect the steel cable from the abrasive action of the stone.

Customisation

Our stone analysis laboratory (with over 3,200 samples analysed to date) is able to identify with absolute certainty the most suitable bond/diamond/grain for the composition of the abrasive bead. Depending on your needs, we can create your customised fixed wire based on:

  • Wire diameter: varies according to the application (mm 3.8 to 4.9).
  • Diamond beads: varies according to the material to be worked (number of beads per metre from 28 to 39 and bead diameter from 8 to 11 mm).
  • Assembly: to protect the steel cable and improve vibration absorption.
  • Material to be worked (marble, granite, sandstone, limestone, travertine or other natural stone) to obtain the best diamond composition for cutting performance.

The advantages

In addition to its versatility, our diamond wire offers many advantages:

  • No vibration during cutting
  • Low noise level
  • Excellent precision
  • high cutting speed
  • Minimal energy consumption
  • low water consumption
