Quarrying diamond wire

Quarrying diamond wire

Quarrying wire is used for cutting benches or squaring blocks in quarries. It is used to extract marble, granite and other natural stone directly from underground, regardless of the type of quarry. Its use allows fast and precise cuts, reducing extraction times. It is designed to operate in extreme conditions, for all types of natural stone.

PROCESSABLE MATERIALS

Features

The quarrying diamond wire consists of three main parts:

  • Supporting steel wire: consisting of 7 subwires with different diameters.
  • Electroplated, marble or sintered custom-made diamond beads in marble and granite.
  • Rubber or plastic assembly to protect the steel wire from the abrasive action of the stone.

Customisation

We produce dry cut beads for limestone materials, suitable for use in quarries or block squaring.
Our stone analysis laboratory (over 3,200 samples analysed to date) identifies with absolute certainty the most suitable binder/diamond/grain for the composition of the abrasive bead. Based on the characteristics of the quarry from which the materials are extracted, we manufacture the wire for you according to the following specifications:

  • Wire diameter: mm 4.9.
  • Number of beads: 27 to 40 per metre.
  • Diameter of the beads: 10.5 to 11 mm.
  • Plastic or rubber assembly.
  • Material to be worked (marble, granite, sandstone, limestone, travertine or other natural stone) to obtain the best diamond composition for cutting performance.

The advantages

In addition to its versatility, our diamond wire offers many advantages:

  • No vibration during cutting
  • Low noise level
  • Excellent precision
  • high cutting speed
  • Minimal energy consumption
  • low water consumption
